There is no single best AI video tool in 2026. Kling, Runway, Google Veo and Seedance are each strongest at something different, and Higgsfield is a platform that hosts several of them behind one interface. Runway
Runway is a New York research company whose flagship generator is Gen-4.5, offered with Text to Video and Image to Video control at 2 to 10 seconds and 720p output (source: Runway). Around it sit Aleph 2.0, an in-context video editing model for clips up to 30 seconds at 1080p, and Act-Two, which drives a character's performance from a video of a real actor (source: Runway). Google Veo
Veo 3.1 is Google DeepMind's video model, described on its own page as "Video, meet audio" (source: Google). It generates 4, 6 or 8 second clips with native audio at 720p, 1080p or 4K, accepts up to three reference images, and supports first-and-last-frame generation and video extension (source: Google). Consumers reach it through the Gemini app and Google Flow; developers through the Gemini API and Vertex AI (source: Google).
Seedance
Seedance is ByteDance's video model line. Seedance 2.0 launched with "15-second high-quality multi-shot audio-video output" and accepts up to 9 images, 3 video clips and 3 audio clips as references in one request (source: ByteDance Seed). Camera and motion control
Each tool exposes camera control differently. Higgsfield gives you named presets to click. Kling lets you define shot size, perspective and movement per segment in a storyboard. Runway expects the camera choreography in the written prompt. Veo and Seedance respond to camera language in prompts and, in Seedance's case, to reference video.

Learning curve
